A special card

Have just finished a card for a special friend who is going through a cancer journey right now and I wanted to share it with you. I have done it as inspirational tags and quotes.
the front is done with a double sided paper, BoBunny, cut on an angle and folded to make pockets for the tags. (sorry can't work out how to turn photo around)
The tags have been stamped and embossed. I made the flowers from the same paper and punched several of the same size flowers and just used the reverse side on every second one. Added a bit of lace to soften and a few diamante flourishes.

Never forget the inside of the card is just as important to decorate as the front. Used the same paper inside and a bit of lace to match and some more stamped and embossed quotes. Perfect ! This is so easy to do, try one yourself

Back to Crafting at last

I can't believe how long it has been since I posted anything on my blog. Life has had a different focus of late and I am now ready to craft and lots of it. Starting with scrapfest by the sea in Nelson next weekend. Taking my wonderful mother in law Margaret with me, first time she has been to such an event.
So I will post all my lovely creations.

This picture is a scrap challenge I did for the Scrapfest, which had to include the photo of the main street of where the scrapfest is, at Monaco hotel and resort, Nelson. The theme for the weekend is mid winter Christmas, hence the page looking like Christmas.

I love using lots of sparkle and bits of jewellery on my projects, and I am love vintage looks.

I am no longer doing the markets but some of my stuff can be brought at the Wanganui Red Cross bookshop, 110 Guyton St. My bookmarks are very popular there, as are my cards. They sell my things on behave of, but I only charge them cost they get all the profits.

more from SENZ

This class we did 9 easy to make cards, but they all looked fabulous.
This was a cool photo frame class I did, frames are made from chipboard and used thick embossing powder and then some pearl coloured powders sprinkled in and melted again to give a fabuolous effect. Also made the flowers from fabric flowers and water and clear embossed several times to make them look like glass.
This class was intense and no where near done in the 2 hours but I have put in some time since on it, it still is not finished but getting close. Again learned some great technics particularly with shrink plastic, had not used that before. But the end result is a pretty cute and interesting little feature box minitures.

suitcase

This suitcase is beautifully decorated in rose papers, moss green paint and as you can see lovely embellishments of pearls, roses, lace and ribbons. It has a cane handle. Size 25.5cm wide, 20.5cm long and 8.5cm deep. I have so much fun doing these projects, I use this one to display wine charms in.

Crate

This cool little crate is great for all sorts of things. It is one of the Kaiser craft crates and I have painted it in vintage white and decorated with vintage papers with old time lace, it looks delightful. These are so easy to do and great for so many things. You could easily do them for children's rooms for crayons etc.
